I really love this performance especially of Daniel at Wembley in 1977, he sings these songs fantastically and the crowd seems right behind him. I noticed though that Elton seems a little annoyed that the crowd was clapping at the beggining of "Better off Dead" just watch his eyes, plus he restarts the song.

He actually sings "light in the night" ;).

But yes, he is human and has brought us great entertainment.

he messed up in 1:00 yes, but in Daniel i think he just improvised a little on the lyrics. He is elton john, he is allowed to :)

Dear ulike... He sings "just enough night for the night..." instead of "time for the night". You ignorant weasel. Stop trying to cause trouble you pathetic creature.

-2 ratings seem popular...

Strangely enough when I got this concert (abridged HBO version in particular): Although the video shortly begins, it jumps to 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' instead of playing this!

Probably shouldn't reply, but enough silly rampaging! I have my opinion, you have yours :).

Anyway, I watched an EJ documentary recently and it included a clip from this concert where he announced his retirement (or semi-retirement). Did he tour in 1978, or did he take a break, concentrate in the studio and resume in 1979 with Ray Cooper in Russia?
