Using an oscillating spindle sander to totally shape the back of the guitar neck. Then a final hand sanding moving from 100 grit paper up to 200 grit... Build Thread here http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=2522721

  • I clicked on the video as I saw the same spindle sander that I have! Two questions: What kind of wood are you using in this video? It looks like the material is just flying off. And second, how many necks have you made this way? You look very confident and practiced as you're doing this. (I like the hockey game in the background, BTW)

  • @streetdog75 i have done a couple of necks this way... the neck is mahogany... i guess i am a fast learner. show me something once and i can usually do it. once i got going i just kind of felt it and knew to get it moving and rolling so to speak...

  • I have one of those too. Going using mine for the same thing. Haven't used it yet, but I knew it was the tool for the job!
