  • Ive also heard that this follow focus doesn't use an industry standard slot for cranks and whips? is that true?

also, would you rather have the hard-stop version of this, or the Fotga follow focus?

sorry for all the questions. I'm just trying to pick the right FF

  • @larybobjoeguy This is true, it doesnt fit industry standard whips and cranks. I have not personally reviewed the Fotga, but the build looks just as good as the RJ so I think it would be a safe bet to go with that one.

  • so is the "Follow Focus Finder F3 for 15mm Rod Support DSLR (F3 With Two Hard Stops) Canon EOS 1Ds Mark?, EOS1D Mark?, EOS 5D MarkII, EOS 7D, EOS 60D, EOS 600D, EOS 550D etc" on amazon and ebay the same thing (hard stop version) but cheaper and from a different dealer?

  • @larybobjoeguy there are a lot of sellers out there now for this same follow focus. It has been rebranded under different names.

  • so the FF CAN actually move left and right, once on the rails to meet up with the gears?

  • @larybobjoeguy Yes it can

The hard stop version is the newer and more expensive model. Like justbasl said, it's been rebranded under many names, and I bought mine off eBay the other day for $116. Amazon has the same one for $125.

  • @ekphotography You can get them on Indisystems website.

  • Where can I buy those magnetic focus rings please.. you left no link..

    Thanks

  • @ohmss006 Not the slack, it is different from unit to unit. But the dampening is actually a good thing seeing that there are a lot of lenses that can benefit from this.
