By the way, the Night Bazaar was still under about 8 inches of water but hopefully that has gone by Saturday (1st Oct). I spent the day with the staff of my pub, The Red Lion, doing a big clean-up operation. We will re-open tomorrow. A big sports day (Rugby World Cup, Aussie Rules Grand Final and the Liverpool derby).

I went back to the Gymkhana this evening (30th) and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The road outside is now dry, and most of the water on the course has receded. It didn't stay as long as the 2005 flood, so hopefully the course isn't too damaged and can recover in a few weeks (weather permitting). I'm planning on being on the tennis courts on monday....
