Bought the single at Leonards, Chippenham, UK for 7/6 (or was it 6/9) back in '63 (was it?). I have kept all the 45s I ever bought but this one has disappeared - as mysterious as the record itself.

Not as smooth as I remember it

Anyone heard of "Coastin'" by The Shacklefords? One of those obscure, but beautiful, little dittys I used to love.

my mom, got the album, with a book of S&H green stamps, over 45 years ago.....i liked it so much, she gave to me, still have it....LOL

Great folk music, wonderful harmonies ! What's not to like? What is the choeus saying...something about justice. Sounds kind of severe.

Thanks for the Shacklefords stuff, this is the only track I've heard, way back in the 60's,and I could never get my hands on it,I like the other tracks as well- great!
I bought this album new in the Navy Exchange at NAS Argentia, Newfoundland, CA in 1963 for $2:10. I would have bought more of them, but never saw anymore of their music after that until I converted the album and found a CD on Amazon.
