Rafael Lozano-Hemmers installation Pulse Park, was featured in Madison Square Park from October 24 to November 17, 2008. Visitors registered their pulses on either of two sets of sensors, one at each end of the lawn's central oval. Its a slightly more complex version of the machinery youd find at the gym, he says. When the next person has their pulse taken, the first reading is passed on to the adjacent light, and so on until all the lights are pulsing. This video was taken from an 11th floor apartment across the street from the park.
