This video shows the steps to fabricate a simple centrifugal pump. The pump is fabricated by teams of two students in ENGR 120 at Louisiana Tech University. The entire pump is modeled using solid modeling software, and each student team's impeller is rendered on a rapid prototyping machine from ABS plastic.

    Cordialement.

  • Shouldn't the blades be curve away from the outgoing tube so to get maximum centrifugal action instead of ' scouping ' the water back to the centre by your blade design.

  • AS A MASCHINIST I GIVE MY ADVISE TO THE STUDENTS:

For your next project use ACETAL(POMc).Much better than this white staff (ERTALON PA 6 ?) .

    Nice work kids

  • Simple yet excellent.

    :)

  • im not sure but im guessing it depends on how much water you want to suck up?

  • EXCELLENT WORK! THANKS

  • how many rpm would you need on the motor to get it to suck up enough water??
