  • You're right that the soldiers weren't breaking military laws. My point was in response to the person who thinks that Wikileaks might be a CIA operation perhaps to indirectly promote propaganda. I don't see why the CIA would want something like the Collateral Damage video to get out there. Hence I have a hard time believing Wikileaks isn't any more than a libertarian activist group and whistleblowing website.

I can think of a few reasons why, firstly I believe Wikileaks and the documents and videos are a smoke screen to divert attention away from what's going on here on the home front. 2nd it could be a way to evacuate Afghanistan due to higher than normal risk factors.

this is purely an instinctual feeling but it is not without merit considering our past strategically speaking

  • @rahooligan That video looked bad the way wikileaks edited it. The honest truth is that them soldiers didn't break any military laws. The rules of engagement on the battlefield are very loose. There is no police to stop a soldier from doing anything he want to do. Commanders defend their bad soldiers like the police chief defended his officers during the rodney king beating. I had a high security clearance in the army ; but I left because I couldn't stomach the actions of my fellow soldiers.

  • Have you seen the Collateral Damage video leaked by Wikileaks? It shows American soldiers in Iraq practically killing innocent people for fun as if it were a video game. What would be the CIA's benefit in that video being leaked? It only serves to anger the Iraqis even more and make it easier for Al Qaeda to recruit terrorists. As for the leaks, yes its true there's nothing shocking in the leaks that have been released so far. But there are over 200,000 documents that haven't been released yet

  • @rahooligan nah thats the cover story.. do you know assange does not believe 9/11 is was planned? and he's got a very good hacking credentials... there's noting new in any of his leaks...

  • Julian Assange cannot be a CIA product. He has been an anti-authoritarian since an early age. He hacked into NASA computers at age 18.
