This is the start of the Tremere quest, part of the Clan Quest Mod for VMT:B, which adds several new quests and features to the game. Watch as the Regent asks the player to take part in some dubious research.

I cannot get this conversation to start, I reinstalled it about 100 hundred times and did everything I have to, quests, etc...

And still won't start :(

@emilecristof To get this conversation, you have to have joined the Chantry, which means: a) being Tremere, b) Completed the Plague quest for Strauss and c) resolving the difficulties with the gargoyle with Strauss' knowledge, and without selling him out to the Isaac. Can be a bit tricky!

@XOR101 Dude, I did all of that. I think It's just that I seem to be screwing up the installation. I Install the latest unofficial patch first, then the clan quest mod, and then the resolution patch. And I can't get it right, but I don't want to play it without the resolution patch.

@emilecristof Ah, you really shouldn't install different patches/mods together. That can cause all kinds of problems. Although since you installed UP *before* CQM, I wouldn't expect this issue. Either way, the best thing to do would be to uninstall and reinstall with just CQM and res patch. The latest version of CQM includes the latest version of UP, so there's no reason to install it separately anyways.

Hehe.Poor Max Strauss...I installed the 2.1 clan quest mod and played as Brujah (of course).The quest was to obtain an artifact from the tremere heaven,the one talisman that increases thaumaturgy powers by 40% when you play as Tremere.So,it was needed to either go to Chinatown and get an antimagic item from that weirdo Mr.OX.But i didnt want to wait,so I rushed in and KILLED Strauss!Got the head warlock out toe to toe!Quest was disappointing as it only gave me 8 XP...Point is,BRUJAH OWNS BABY!!

@SwiftBladeTT Maybe only 8XP, but it should give you +1 in one of your stat's too. That can be worth up to 12XP, plus what you get from the quest.

@emilecristof He uses a Franchi SPAS-15 as well as summoning Tremere apprentices for help.

@XOR101 Please pass on my congratulations to Walter,I didnt realise at first that it was not Strauss original voice and even when I saw it was I still find it hard to believe.He got the voice,tone and pitch down perfectly.
