@zizula I do not understand why Canadians flock to Cuba. There are gorgeous beaches and accomodations right here in Florida. Was it that much cheaper in Cuba? I have heard that your money runs out fast and that Cuba is no longer a bargain.

Forgot to say ... The last day we HAVE TO check out before noon and had to wait 7 hours at the reception. Spent the rest of the day watching our baggage. Lost one day of my vacation. Other hotels would at least offer a locker to lock the baggage ... and shower & room to change clothes. They have had free rooms (our rooms) because they offered to extend our stay for 4 hours for $50 CAD. This is disgusting. They just want to squeeze every penny from you.

Just returned (Jan 2010). Not happy.
2 days without running water all day and another 2 days without water only in the morning. The last day one of four gas tanks almost exploded (there was serious leakage and they evacuated the hotel). The ice cream was bad and I was sick another 2 days ... sitting in the washroom ... .
In the buffet a meet was awful. Beef and pork were not eatable. Smell bad and hard to chew. Fortunately I was there only a week. Never coming again.
