My wife and I visited the U.S.S. Midway in Sept. of 2011. It was an amazing experience to say the least. We enjoyed every minute of our visit. We were even jet lagged from flying from Chattanooga, TN but it was the first thing we wanted to do. It was interesting seeing what life for a Sailor is like. GOD BLESS our Armed Forces.

My ships were the Camden A0E-2 and missouri BB63. We unreped Midway on the Camden many a times. Glad she made it as a museum and didn't get cut up like the Camden,.

i visited the midway early 2009 and was very disapointed there are so many aircraft that should be on the ship like the f4u and a lot
ww11 aircraft ---also where are the guns-- not there

We didn't have guns. We had jets with guns. Also, the aircraft are still coming aboard. The museum has only been there 4 years and still growing. It is as I remembered it.
