F4B CRASH ON DECK as filmed by MSgt Dave Herbert, while on detachment with the Marine unit out of El Toro, California in 1976.(VMFP-3 Det III)

The clips were taken from Bell & Howell Super 8 movies that are over 30 years old and are exciting to watch.

God Bless America and thanks to all our Military and Civilian friends who are working hard to keep the peace and freedom of this great country we live in.

Thanks kindly for watching and never forget...

  • i visited the midway early 2009 and was very disapointed there are so many aircraft that should be on the ship like the f4u and a lot

ww11 aircraft ---also where are the guns-- not there

  • We didn't have guns. We had jets with guns. Also, the aircraft are still coming aboard. The museum has only been there 4 years and still growing. It is as I remembered it.

  • My wife and I visited the U.S.S. Midway in Sept. of 2011. It was an amazing experience to say the least. We enjoyed every minute of our visit. We were even jet lagged from flying from Chattanooga, TN but it was the first thing we wanted to do. It was interesting seeing what life for a Sailor is like. GOD BLESS our Armed Forces.
