I was on board at this same time. An ET working on the link 4/11 radio gear that your guys used to do ACLS (automatic carrier landing system link 4). I do remember the cargo nets in Korea and also the cold cat shot near the Korean DMZ. My rack was right below the port cat and so I got hear launches and bolters! - A long time ago. Thanks for the memories.
Great video, thanks.I visited the Midway last Octorber, everyone should see this amazing ship.we stayed all day there and I will deff vist again when I visit the US again.
Great video! Those f-4's smoked more than dean martin!!!...How was the chow on midway? The sailor's eat like king's nowadays. What was it like in the phillipines? were the people nice to american's?
It must be really great to be able to go and visit a ship that you served on...WOW!! Have you ever been on a modern carrier? What was it like to fly on an F-4?
The chow on the Midway was really great, I was a jarhead and it was way better than the chow at Iwakuni. The ship was also much more comfortable than the cold barracks at Iwakuni where we had no hot water. The people in the P.I. were extremely friendly to us Americans.
