Watch with shock and awe as Samurai Appliance Repair Man ruthlessly ferrets out the source of a leak in a front-loading washing machine and then mercilessly repairs it.

Here's the replacement dispenser duct I installed to repair this washer: http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetai...

Thank you, thank you. This was EXACTLY what was wrong. I'm so glad I watched the video until the end. All I did was pull back part of the seal where it was located and reached my hand in there. Removed the cracked one and replaced it with the new one. I also used the hose clamp. Saved me money and time. I appreciate it.

I had exact problem. Water pooling toward front left corner as u face the washer. Just pull bottom front panel off (3 screws), use good flashlight, lay on floor, stick your head against the opening (look up) and you will clearly see this connection. Mine was cracked, follow directions in video! I put hose clamp on cracked piece, it is holding fine, look close, can see water flowing in clear pipe, temporary fix while

waiting for new part to arrive. Water Inlet $20 Part #: WH41X10118 ge website

I also linked to the part in the video description, almost half the price from the GE website!

If the door boot is bad and not holding water back, you will see water leaking out the door itself, as opposed to the mystery leak in this washer where the water simply appeared at the bottom of the machine. Also, door boots tend to fail in such a way that it's visibly obvious: rips, tears, spits, etc.

Thanks. Exactly my issue. Ordered the part through the link on your site. Will be adding a hose clamp to reinforce and prevent a recurrence. For WBVH5200J1WW, left the boot in place, removed the main box diverter assembly by removing three screws, one on top, one on the face to the left of the drawer opening, and one behind the control panel. Unseated the panel with two screws on top, left the electrical harness connected. Three screws along the back to remove top panel, then slide to the back.
