After 172 passed, we decided to go ahead and move back to White Sulphur, as we knew that out next northbound was 35 miles away, a southward move was a smart choice. Setting up on a hill to the south of the White Sulphur Road crossing, we were rewarded. At 9:06am, NS 212, having flown the distance, flew around the curve toward the White Sulphur signals.
Not only was the shot rewarding, but the train was too. Seeing something so bright going so fast was a treat. NS 212 charged through White Sulphur, GA with an entire yellow lashup on the point. UP SD70ACe 8647 led UP AC45CCTE 5534, UP SD70M 4196, a very large bundle of autoracks, and a few containers north toward its terminus in Croxton, NJ.
