Mega Man 10 - Wily Castle 4 TA (3:56:41)

It's been awhile, eh?

This video's been uploaded mostly because Capcom's ranking board servers for MM10, which allow you to upload replays, suck most horribly in the reliability department. Depending on some unknown factor, accessing a second board in a row could take anywhere from 15 seconds to 15 minutes (personally, it's 5; it's like dealing with RapidShare!) and movie downloads are corrupted half the time, to the point some dumb rumor's been started that if a movie's too long, all of the movies for that board will always be corrupt (that just increases the chances; it's NOT the root cause).

To that end, I posted that I'd be willing to upload a replay of my 4:28 on WC4 to give the unfortunate something to look at for that stage, as YT has no Time Attacks for Wily 4 yet (what!?). Barring the two dimwit hackers, I had dropped to sixth by today, with the top legit time being 3:58.

Well, I assumed it was legit anyway (2nd was 4:21, making the difference look iffy), and declared war on it, taking my crown back so I wouldn't feel entirely awful about uploading this filth. The game's only been out just over a week, and I've played very little of it compared to most other MM players with Wiis; nothing I upload right now will be anything spectacular, perhaps ever (I'm not seriously into the game as-is, so I'm waiting for Endless to come out and see how that plays).

Seriously. I haven't even touched 10 in days, and it only took like 90 minutes for me to figure out how to take the crown back.

Whatever. This is definitely improvable, but it's enough to quench the drought for now.

@OZZYRULES200 Actually, I think MM10 got things mostly right. Having a restart option was something I complained about not having in 9 a lot.

Of course, the big problem is that all of the improvements are in 10, which clearly didn't hold my interest for as long as I hoped it would. I quit about a week before Endless Attack dropped, and I don't really care to go back for it either. :\

I wish Capcom would either remove the hacked videos, or force everybody to have replay videos. That way we'll know if it's hacked or not.

02:46:23 might be possible, but I wouldn't believe it without a video. I wouldn't have believed MegaDestructor9's scores if I didn't see them, but this person, as well as Koolrip and LUPIN obviously hacked.

Anyway, nice run. I just got 7th at 4:18:18, and of course it could be a lot better, but it was my first attempt on the stage.

I'd go with the replay option myself, but Capcom really needs to fix their servers before modifying anything to do with replays.

Oh, the Wily machine's second stage is weak to the water weapon? I've been using blades...

@MasterZED i'm going to try MM9's TA for the Wily stages for my Mr Perfect run. MM10's i've done the special stages and i don't like that the clock is still running while in the weapons menu.

Yeah, I actually tried to do that in this video IIRC, but I suppose it never worked.  It relies on near-perfect positioning, like a three-hit Mazooka blast in MM9, so I don't expect to do it too often.

I can't do it flawlessly, but you can hit him with the spikes when he's doing his wheel toss attack on the ground. Just drop them right in front of him when he raises his arm, and they'll hit him when he brings it down.

Yeah, this is up mostly only because the replays don't seem to work at all for this stage and because no one else is willing to post a Time Attack of WC4 yet. I dunno if that size rumor is true or what. :\

It's less a "watch me, for I am awesome!" clip and more for players who just *really* want to see a replay of the stage and can't wait for Capcom to fix the board, if that should ever happen.
