  • First of all, I have made these rolls (recipe from your website) many, many times now (actually once a week since I found it). I have NEVER made bread before but these are amazing. Thanks! My only problem during the process comes in here. My dough is sticky and sticks to the countertop and my hand when I am trying to roll the dough. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much for the recipe, the helpful hints and videos. I plan on trying more of your recipes!

  • Rebleigh,

Thanks for your kind words. You can try a couple of things to see if it helps. I would try adding some flour to your hands, first. Sometimes, if the dough is just a touch too wet, it will stick. This happens to me, too, sometimes, depending on the humidity, etc. So flour up your hands and see if that helps. I try to avoid adding it to the counter b/c then the dough slides around instead of shaping up.

You could also try rolling them as shown, but on a wood cutting board...

  • Cool! She's ambidough-xtrous! :)

  • Very Helpful!

  • Buttering up my hands seems to work better than adding flour 4 me. The recipe I use from King Arthur tends to be really sticky and I end up scraping it out of my kitchenaid. .the potatoes?? I've tried adding more flour as it kneads but it just keeps sticking to the side. I make ahead and freeze dough. I let them go through 1st rise, shape, freeze separately on parchment and then freezer bag after frozen. 5 hr.s ahead, frozen to pan, brush w/melted butter, coverw/wrap rise, bake.

  • @rebleigh hi!

where can I find the recipe fot this. I would love to give it a try. Thanks!

  • Hi. Last month I went to have dinner at an Amish family. Food was delicous and they served dinner rolls too. I loved it!!...where can I have the recipe for this?? I would love to be able to do it at home. Thanks for shring your tips!

  • You're amazing. This is a wonderful video. Thanks.

  • I am in Georgia, so humidity is always a problem with everything. I tried flouring the countertop and they slid around, just like you said. I will try just flouring my hands and then maybe a wood cutting board. Thank you so much for your help. I really do appreciate it!
