Frankie calls the police, then tells Douglas that there have been no major accidents and all the main roads have been plowed. Still, they're worried about Cass and Christy. When they hear the car drive up, Frankie hurries to the front door to open it, and the first words out of her mouth when she sees Cass are, "Are you okay?" Cass assures her he's fine and so is Christy and apologizes for alarming Frankie. Douglas tells Christy he was worried about her. Frankie asks what happened, and Cass tells her they got locked in a department store and everything was controlled by computer so they couldn't get out. Christy adds that the night watchman rescued them. Frankie tells Cass he can fill her in later. Douglas says that he and Frankie watched the snow fall, drank mulled wine, and discussed their souls. Christy remarks that she and Cass didn't miss anything, then. Christy wants to keep the party going, but Cass insists on going home with Frankie because it's getting late and the storm isn't letting up. The quartet say their goodbyes, and Douglas wishes Cass and Frankie safe home. When they get outside, Frankie asks Cass what it is with him and snowstorms. Cass says he hopes Frankie didn't think he fell into a snowbank again. Frankie tells Cass to please be careful, because she couldn't stand it if anything happened to him. They embrace. Meanwhile, Douglas tells Christy that she was smiling brighter than he's seen in a long time when she came in. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
I totally agree! Cass just wanted to get back to Frankie, and he was racking his brain trying to find a way out of that store. Christy didn't give a rip about Douglas--if she did, she wouldn't have been dancing and prancing around in that sequinned dress and laughing at the fact that she and Cass were locked in a department store in the middle of a snowstorm with no way to reach their significant others or get out of the store until that night watchman came along.
