hey wats ntfs .. i was surprised wen i restart my computer it says there is an NTFS file ????
is this an error or just tell me wats this pls it also checked the disk in my pc nawats that for huh??

@backstabberzful , in windows XP you can have a choice of FAT32 and NTFS as the file system on your hard disk. The later versions have mandatory NTFS

When I type in NEW VOLUME and press enter, it says that "You have entered an incorrect volume label for this device"
What should I do, I've tried to fix it again and again but I always get the same answer.

@footballhokie No, you can't because Microsoft does not provide that feature. In case you need your hard disk to have FAT32 partition again, then you may have to repartition the hard disk, which means loosing all the data on it
