After the despicable gloating over Hitchens corpse I wonder if Christians could forgive Kim Jong Il if he had a death bed conversion.

According to many, honestly accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour is all that is required to enter paradise in the afterworld. Is this truly moral? Can Christians honestly believe this without feeling uncomfortable? Can they explain it?

Music:
"Leaving Planet Earth" (Eelke Kleijn remix) by Talisman and Hudson, found on the Global Underground album "Digitised 01".

Errata:
It is NOT FOX News, but the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

  • @askegg

God forgives all making a profession of faith; is it moral? Workers

who signed on at 4 PM got paid the same as workers who signed

on at 9 AM; it works according to God's rules and nobody else's.

  • @theetrue So god makes the rules, the forgives those breaking the rules? What’s the point?

  • @askegg The point is that god rewards evenly if you show up late, unlike at any work establishment.

  • @tg72211 The point is god seems to make rules, then ignore them. Hours of mindless entertainment.

  • @askegg

All are unworthy, only those asking

are granted reward whether their new life

(read work) began at the start or end of the day.

  • @theetrue "All are unworthy...”

That’s what I love about Christianity. It’s so uplifting.

  • "Unprepared"? So American it hurts.

Who the FUCK do you think you are, CBS?

    Go impose your values elsewhere.

  • Is that all that CBN fuck wit can say of Hitchens: cranky, impatient and sad? Yes, he was was cranky with the intellectual and moral bankruptcy of Christianity and Islam, impatient with the deluded, and sad about the credulity and servility of the superstitious mind. Hitchens was a thousand times more of a human being than all of the morons on CBN put together.

  • Who the fuck is the guy on Fox news- what debate did he watch? The horrible lying little shit. Its not the bare faced lies thay annoys me so much as having such a huge platform to spout it from. A reeking puss sored knob generates less vomit from me than he does.

  • I'm not a Christian but if their beliefs* in heaven and hell are 'True', I'd like to think that Hitchens was a good man, and would be admitted into the pearly gates. After a very interesting conversation with Pete, no doubt. I'm not sure if the exact type of person KJI was falls under the remit for Christian doctrine (although if I were Christian i'd probably guess he'd be in purgatory!)

*the plural here is deliberate as it would be impossible for all Christians to hold the same belief system

  • @osakanone That's CBN. The Christian Broadcasting Network. CBS are Canadian.

  • @lafontaine13

You are through with me? I didn't know you were ever in charge.

    Here is some advice for you dirtball, be careful around water;

people like you are usually last seen disappearing down the drain.

  • @theetrue go fuck yourself, you are a pathetic idiot peddling bronze age superstitions. Religion, especially christianity, has visited enough evil on human civilization....we are through with you.

  • If you believe in having a imaginary friend who looks after you, then you can have sense of peace as well

  • @osakanone Hey, not ALL Americans are like that...

Some of us are (astoundingly, given the rise of religion and decline of funding for education over here) actually literate and do know how to speak the English Language instead of "Speakin' 'merican!"

And...a great many of us read, knew, and loved Mr. Hitchens.

    Connection? :)

  • #GodIsNotGreat

Thumbs it up and let the Hitchslap and Hashtag live on!
