@Sangeetharasikan :As some said Music existed before Purandara Daasa (SriPD) just like apples were falling before Newton. It is Sri PD who innovatively formulated today's Karnataka Music (I agree with you the name is not related to Karnataka state that was named in 1970). Thygaraja's first Guru his mother Seetham was an exponent of Daasa's compositions. The Trinity (after ~ 200 years) made evolutionary improvements to Karnataka Music following the guidelines of SriPD.

@FascistFashion this composition by Sri Purandaradasaru is in Sanskrit Language and not in Telugu.
