Jesse Hagopian is a middle school teacher with the Seattle Public Schools, community organizer, and education journalist. Hagopian is a member of the Seattle Education Association, and a co-founder of Educators, Students, and Parents For A Better Vision of the Seattle schools (ESP Vision), to oppose the Seattle School District's school closures and program cancellations. Hagopian's writing in defense of public education has appeared in the Seattle Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Real Change News, The Progressive, Common Dreams, and Counterpunch.
