i remember one time in MP2 when i played it, i was fighting an Ingsmasher and i went throught the door without beating it. i could still hear it bang on the door and hear the footsteps even thought the door was closed. it was creepy, i thought it was gonna smash through the door.

getting most of those items require travelling through a firey place and an icy place. in each room, look for unexplored exits with 'Z'. if you have the hint system turned on, it will tell you which direction the next item is

When running into pre-determined locations, a popup message shows on the screen inviting you to press Z. When you press Z, the map screen will place a question mark on the map. The messages are usually to the effect of "there's something going on here" and pointing to rooms that are not yet connected to your current visible map. In Metrod Prime 1, these messages always show up no matter how fast you progress in the game, some players recommend turning it off.
