This is a fan I got at the thrift store last weekend. I disassembled, cleaned and oiled it and it works well. The impeller is made by Freshn'd Aire.

  • wow look how filthy the inside of that fan was! Looks like a mouse nest lol

Sure is nice and quiet. Great design too! Sure doesn't look like it's from the 1950s though.

  • When would you say...60's maybe?

  • I have a fan just like this, except it has a different control system- the Kenmore Full Range Comfort Control. It's a rheostat as opposed to a multi position switch. It's dark brown with a wood-grain side. Same sort of plastic, same brand impeller; It's a Sears 317.80230. My great Aunt owned it, and I think it's a 1970s model. I use it all summer long, and it's an amazing little fan, and very quiet when on "sleep mode" which is a very low speed on the rheostat.

  • What's interesting about Sears is that they sourced from a variety of manufacturers. I have catalog scans from the 1950's showing many of their table fans which were made by Signal, Mimar and Diehl.

  • I know Lasco made later Sears & Galaxy hassock fans.

  • it nice hassock fan use it for under table

  • Model 317.80202

  • I have the same fan, only mine has a woodgrain finish and is a Fresh 'nd Aire brand. Has the same motor and blades. Im guessing its from the 70's. Im pretty sure Lasko made these fans.

  • It's in great condition.

    Very quiet.

  • The one I have is a little new compared to this one. Mine also has a cheaper motor and plastic blades. But the cabnet looks the same.

  • made by Lasko
