@dramatify If his grandparents came from Greece and he speaks Greek then he is part of that culture. It's the people that say they are Scottish when it was their ancestors from like 500 years ago that came from Scotland. My great grand parents were Irish but I don't call myself half Irish.

America is a country built on so many nationalities that you almost always have the option of calling yourself either just American, or identifying with whatever nationalities you are. It also has a lot to do with how much their culture influences their life. My friend's grandparents came here from Greece, so he speaks Greek and is very into that culture. He identifies himself as a quarter Greek. There's nothing wrong with that.
