So that is the raw sewage that would flow down the streets. Man what a crap hole. Every time we tried to fix that place up they blew it up. Man those people are stupid.

@Bally0120 was same in telic 8, they decided saxons were just too shit to do anything apart from attract attention, they got rpg'd to hell and back so they changed only warriors and charlies were sent in....wish they'd thought of it sooner and saved some lives

props to rolling around with fukin armor on the trucks lol... the IPs hit us with an IED just past the check point that comes up to the stadium... about 200 meters before you turn right off the main road into the dirt parking lot lolhaha i cant believe so many people were actually living in this fuckin stadium. i was in there for a good bit of my deployment in 08-09. im with 4-1 CAV

i agree, fuck going in there in stripped down lannys and wimiks! Not for me! We sent a lanny patrol in as soon as we took over in theatre and a bloke got shot thtrough the kneck! Fucki Iraq let them all burn. Ex 1PWRR

I was STAB called up with 1KOSB to Al Amarah. You had a few mates from my TA centre with 1PWRR in Al Amarah.

Mate i wouldn't envy you in that soft skin Lanny, it was bad enough with snatch! We lost 3 blokes and they finally banned snatch from Al-Amarah. Only Challenger and Warrior went in.

we had saxon too, 10 tonnes of shrapnel on wheels!!! Apparently saxon in the only brit vehicle not to be RPG'd out there?
We were lucky, we got there at the end of the war when most people were happy to see us. Had a few IEDs / small arms and RPG contacts but nothing like the current level of IEDs and suicide bombers.
