Nick explains his evening in what i believe to be the late 60's. Rare chance to listen to his beautiful voice. I do not own this material.

  • what a wonderful voice Uppercrust .!!!!!So terribly sad he left so soon. Beautiful soul. He deserved so much more.

  • So very haunting... If only he would have know this single short monologue would be the one thing his fans could hear him conversely say. Maybe, just maybe he would have given us a little more.. express some deeper thoughts and ideas, but thats neither here nor there. Fact is, this is all we have and despite the lack of significance I'm eternally grateful just to merely hear him speak words, talk just like a normal person. What a truly individual original he was and shall live forever with me.

  • I started reading the first few pages of 'Pink Moon' in the '33 1/3' series of books (this one in particular was by Amanda Petrusich) and saw that the author had quoted Nick as saying, "I think there's something extraordinarily nice about seeing the doorknob before one goes to bed.." Doorknob?? It's 'dawn up.' She's the knob. Needless to say, I immediately returned it to its resting place on the shelf.

  • @jaydeebee69 i thought the exact same thing

  • Lovely speaking voice.Nick's music will live for ever and brings so much pleasure to so many people.

  • I can confirm this certainly is Nick, i've heard the original tape on his reel to reel machine... and others.

  • I find myself wishing he'd continued straying from the point, particularly 1:37 - 1:48. I think the tangent he started there could have been very telling. :(

    RIP, Nick.

  • es el unico legado si es verdaderamente la voz de nick drake que se le conoce que no sea discos o fotos.

  • Imagine how many of these he actually recorded, and this is the only one left. Sad.

  • Interesting 'small hours' monologue.
