Chris Matthews Struggles to Defend Hosting Tony Perkins

At a book signing in Framingham, Massachusetts on 3/24/2012, Faithful America members confront Chris Matthews about his consistently inviting Tony Perkins, President of the hate group Family Research Council, on his show.

Matthews responds by falsely claiming that Perkins never says homophobic things on his show, but when challenged that his invitations give legitimacy to what Perkins says outside the show, Matthews has no answer.

Matthews also later claims that every time Perkins is on, he's challenged. But Matthews never challenges Perkins on his long record of hateful lies about the LGBT community.

Of the four prime-time pundits on MSNBC, Chris Matthews is the worst, and Rachel Maddow is the best. His apparent grasp of the complexity of the issues he's discussing seems quite poor, as does his interview technique. Ironically, I think that's why right-wingers are apparently far more willing to talk to Chris than to Rachel: they know that she will actually ask intelligent questions and follow-ups, whereas Chris will just keep things nicely muddled.

Well it's rightwing Republicans who have banned even the word "homosexual" or "gay" from public schools....Rightwing Republicans have proposed legislation in Alabama to ban colleges and universities in that state from having any gay material in their libraries or to put on plays dealing with the subject....It's you guys who want to silence everyone dissenting from your fascistic views
