@leafboy412 You can connect any number of drives, up to 8 directly, or 32 using SAS exapanders (or if you are a moron, you can flash HBA firmware to use it as a non-RAID controller and connect up to 256 drives - if you use software RAID).

@LinusTechTips since the cables have a sas to 4x sata, does that mean you HAVE to connect 4 sata drives to it or can it also be 2????? please reply

wow... i would get one of those if i had the money.. onboard raid doesnt work for me, but cheap raid cards dont work either, so i settle for onboard, but i would prefer a nice RAID card anyday =[
