  • Dear Miss valentina, when you say 2 days, how many hours by day?!

It's very difficult, and sounds strange if we play it very slowly...

  • 2-3 hours a day

  • Miss Valentina, I'm also playing this piece, but I think that it is quite challenging to play! How do you find it?

  • It is very difficult. I spent 2 days on it, then put it aside, and came back 1 month later for another day. Only then I was comfortable playing it.

  • Dear Friends,

Somebody pretending to be me goes around leaving nasty comments on YouTube. The impersonator's user name is VaIentinaLisitsa - the letter "L" is replaced by capital "i".

If you see this person's comments on other people pages - please let me know . I am trying to stop it and already complained to YouTube . This person is disgusting !!!

  • wonderful !!!!!

  • Miss Valentina, I really love the way you play the piano... It touches the soul and I would like you to tell me what to do when you are just about to play a pino song in a theater cuz every time I do it just got extremely afraid and make mistakes becuase of it :) Thank u and keep on it you're really good :)

  • very organic playing. bravo. But the glissandi also ppp... Greetings

  • Stunning stunning stunning technique.. Interpretation relatively conventional by contrast - I love when pianists play the rapid descending right hand during building up to climax with accelerando and mezoo piano and allow left hand to build up more powerfully! Composers do not need to have their music taken completely literally if the effect can be improved.

  • I think this woman could play anything. I listened to her play Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Chopin, Ravel, Schubert, Beethoven, Grieg, etc. I'd be interested if there is anything she can't play. I'd pretty much have to say she IS a master. The attribute of a master is that they can play anything you give them. She doesn't just have a big repertoire. She plays hard pieces. Love her fluid technique here. Almost like a harpist.

  • I guess you need to play this on a grand paino to make it really sound because of the mechanics. A cheap upright or digital piano will just not allow you to play this piece with ease at the appropriate tempo.

  • For an Artist like Valentina learning such a piece means something very different compared to us

by the way I am learning 'une barque sur l'oean'

Probably for her fingers and technic is never a problem it is just about conceptualizing the music and algorithm behind and just train her willing to play this mental representation

For me for instance it represents a lot of more effort and learning ;-)

Bravo Valentina your interpretations are always fantastic

  • It would take me nine hours just to get through this one time sloppily, but im attempting it anyway. Do you have any tips for me to be able to play this before I'm very old?

(im 13 and i have been playing for a year and a half, but I practice about 3 hours every day)

  • you're so amazing :O

  • For me to master a complicated piece like this, it usually takes me roughly some- thirty hours to complete. Such was an example where I had to learn Chopin's Ballade No. 1 from scratch to perfection within one week. On the first try I was playing note by note; 200 tries later I was playing almost like the composer himself. With that said, Valentina is definitely gifted, but the feat isn't impossible. Persistence is key.
