@evansmithskates I can see where you're coming from, but I maintain what I've said before. Conor Oberst is a good songwriter, but he is far too arrogant and a tad pretentious. A lot of his lyrics have lost relevance post-Bush-era, but Max's words are infinitely applicable. Max effortlessly reeks of sincerity; Conor tries too hard.

@runnerthomas77 I think Max Bemis is an incredible songwriter, one of the best of our generation, but he's not on the level where he can be compared to Bob Dylan. The only one who should be considered our generation's Bob Dylan is Conor Oberst. But like I said, Max is almost on that level, I guess its just a matter of opinon, but Conor Oberst is much more comparable to Dylan
