I love in this game from when you are about to get hit with something you can quickly pause it and heal :)
-
"So what's the world gonna be like without Death. I mean, I just kinda killed him." XD That was really funny!
-
red jewels do the same as the hearts in the nes games, it gives you more secondary weapons
-

-
Red Jewels replenish your secondary weapon ammo
-
The red jewels refill your throwable item incase your still woundering.

I've been watching your whole series, and this is the first time I've felt like this is a Castlevania game. Classic boss music for Death followed by a clock tower. Good stuff

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

Red jewels are used for the subweapons (holy water, those awesome crosses, etc.) you keep picking up. The dagger costs 1, the axe 2, water 3, and 5 for the cross. A small jewel gives you 5, a large jewel 10.
It took me a while to figure it out, too. ;)

Thanks for mentioning this.
I would go crazy when I would pick one up and have no clue what it was used for =D

No problem! ;p I didn't know when I first started the game last week. The clock tower drove me nuts, though...

Yeah, I learned that if you try to take any shortcuts in that place, you will usually end up falling.
