Marchers made their way from Galt to Thornton on June 2, the second day of the four-day pilgrimage to Sacramento. The pilgrimage was in honor of 17-year-old Maria Isabel Vasquez Jimenez, who died of heat-related illness two weeks ago while working in a vineyard. The farm workers and their supporters are marching to push for greater enforcement of Californias farm labor laws. When they arrive in the state Capitol on June 4, they will ask for further legislation to protect the rights of farm workers in California, said Arturo S. Rodriguez, president of the United Farm Workers.

When i was a youger guy i would find it necessary to take hot jobs or killer jobs. The difficult was management was unable to understand the suffering or seemingly enjoyed making the worker suffer when the heat got too much. Sometimes it is the sun that makes the hot or sometimes it can be the heat and humidity couple with the effort. I considered hurting the boss real bad since he certainly deserved it. It was like a torture test of the human body aggravated by obstinate management.
