After working with them and seeiing them in the wild for many years I can confidently say different cheetahs obviously have different capabilities. That being said I'd say top speed over 70mph is not a legend. In fact, some seem to have an extra gear where they may go beyond that for a brief period. 55mph, hell they do that in around 3 to 4 seconds quite regularly.

thommy gazelle and dorcas gazelle and wildbeest is 40 mph - legend 50 mph
