If you like this, check out my channel, I have a bunch of other covers!

** 1000 views, damn! Thanks people! Last week it was only 300 or something. Where did that peak come from?? Stay brutal! **

As promised, full cover! Up next is Evisceration Plague, as soon as I get my new guitar :D

I recorded 4 separate guitar tracks, two with my ENGL Fireball head going through the FX loop into my UX2 and then with a cabinet impulse added through Pod Farm.
The other two are the Metal Shop "Cali Diamond Plate" heads with a tubescreamer (the green one) in front, through the V30 cabs with the 57 on axis microphone. I'm really happy about the tone, it's nice and thick.

Oh, please ignore the random tags. What can I say, I'm a whore!

Enjoy and stay brutal! :D

  • Tabs?

  • @00NeVaN00 Should be on Ultimate-Guitar.

  • Awesome cover I'm subbing! What recording program are you using? I have the Pod UX2 as well. I use Adobe Audition.

  • @HeCtiCSlaYeRzZ Hey, I use Reaper to record my shit (it's free and awesome, works way better than Audition IMO, that was the first recording program I used). The tone was done by quadrupletracking though, two tracks (panned to 51% left and right) going through Pod Farm 2. Then two tracks (panned to 100% left and right) I recorded though my ENGL Fireball, with the FX out going to my guitar input on the UX2. So I can't really tell you how to get this exact tone; you'll need a FireBall for that.

  • What's you're EQ like man?

  • I honestly have no idea, I never really use the same settings for any of my recordings, I just mix as I go along hehe. I can give you some guidelines though that I apply to my recordings: MIDS MIDS MIDS!!! Don't EVER scoop your mids, EVER. Upping the mids on your guitar tracks will give them a lot of bite and agressiveness IMO. Scooping them (like a lot of DM bands do) will give that heavy and sluggy sound but that's not the tone that I enjoy listening to myself.

  • great instrumentals, keep em comin' my friend \m/

  • @Stygian9 Yeah, mids are always important, in general, yes a well rounded warm sound is always better sounding than a grindcore scooped to shit overly trebly and gainy tone. But yeah, Just trying to get very close to a cc tone seeing as a death metal isn;t supposed to sound pretty, but still, gotta have some umph.

  • @Stygian9 Thanks for replying! And thanks for that helped me a lot! And I will look Into Reaper as well sounds good. :)
