I am not sure about considering the voice's qualities of Mrs Marton, but what I can say is that her acting performance as Turandot is incredible. She is a Turandot that is always very sure of herself. From the begining to the end, she knows she'll have what she wants.

Eva no es la mejor version de turandot, la voz le quedo con un vibrato de tres octavas que no se le entiende nada. su mejor epoca fue en los 70 con otro tipo de papeles, no ahora.

Excelente montaje, excelentes Eva Marton y Jose Carreras. Solo he tenido la oportunidad de ver en vivo esta impresionante última ópera de Puccini en el Teatro Melico Salazar de Costa Rica en febrero de 2009. Vale la pena apreciarla siempre con los más apropiados y mejores cantantes pues es una ópera dificil de cantar y dar el efecto mágico misterioso que le plasmó su autor. Este montaje de Viena es colosal y lo bueno que esta disponible en DVD actualmente. Vale la pena adquirirlo.

I am afraid I have to agree. Carreras is too lyric, this cause damage to the voice, its actually makes the voice heavier and darker but his acting is just pury glory, and he does not sound bad at all, he is fantastic but this opera is too heavy and dramaric for his voice.
