@a1d2h Lady Soul is still considered only 2nd to Ray Charles as the great R&B pianist. I wish she would just record a collection of "Aretha Killin the Keys." Just Ms. Franklin playing only the songs she really loves. No vocals. Can I get a movement behind this concept, people?

Her talent transcends words. The command, the timing, the range, the power and the soul are breathtaking. There will never be a greater singer, period. As Marianne Faithful once said: the voice of God, if you must know, is Aretha Franklin's. Amen.
