amazing rider, amazing horse. amazing cooling team (who were actually waiting for a different 4**** to come through) the eventing community is like family.
it doesnt matter if it feels good or whatever. you should care about what happens to your horse, because you and your horse are a team and horses can get hurt easily. only major x-country is dangerous for the horses technically, but the way they get all that impact from jumping into ditches doesnt exactly look pretty...
Maybe because its a rush for both you and the horse. Have you ever even tried Cross Country? It has to be the greatest feeling in the world. If you tried it, you'd understand why people do it.
I think pretty much with any equine sport there is a varying degree of danger. I mean, you can just be trotting a pleasure horse in a circle, it looses its balance for a stride, falls, and breaks its leg that way. Yeah, it's depressing sometimes, but that's why only riders who know their horses and themselves should try eventing and sports like it.
i dont c why ppl do cross country...theyre risking their horses lives as well as their own. the horses go over jumps and the jumps dont fall so they get caught and fall and hurt themselves. i was watching a rolex from 2 or 3 years ago and a young, beautiful hores that seemed to have a sucessful future coming ahead went over a jump, hit her legs and had to be put down. it was depressing
The second horse looked like it would do great dressage :D
