  • what about when you call him father? that contradicts the Bible right?

Matthew 23:9- And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

  • @soccafreak93 Sorry for the long delay - I've been on a self-imposed break.

What do you call your male parent? Or your physician (doctor = teacher). And of course St. Paul refers to himself as the Corinthians father in the faith (1 Cor. 4:14–15). Please read: catholic.com/library/Call_No_Man_Father.asp and if you still disagree, tell me on which point and we can continue this then.

    Thanks,

    :D

  • I think the pope in a dress is different than your wife in a dress.

Peter didnt like people bowing before him yet the pope encourages it.

But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. Acts 10:26

I think catholics should take Peter's admonition and not BOW before men, especially a man who is deluded into thinking that he is the vicar of Christ.

  • @glizag The Pope IS the vicar of Christ. And in some way your are too! Did not Joseph receive a dream from God that his brothers would bow down to him? The message in Acts is NOT "Do not show homage" BUT "I am a fellow beggar" - to say otherwise is an inconsistent application to the texts.

  • Catholic Courage, Great job! Keep up the jaunty good cheer! It's great to be Catholic... Including hearing all those anti-Catholic whoppers, which can be real thigh slappers...Particularly when your realize their serious, eh? Peace and All Good

  • Thanks for the reminder, michiganois! It's easy to get too serious, thinking the burden of convincing of truth rest on our shoulders when the best we can do is share the truth with clarity, compassion and a good bit of joy! Peace to you as well!

  • What a nice man you seem to be! Praise God, but unfortunately your on the wrong side of the spiritual battle between GOoD & the dEVIL. Scripture gives all men full instructions on how we must be saved=through Jesus Christ alone. Primacy of Peter, Marion dogma, untrue authority of priest/popes, indulgences, purgatory, sola scriptura, sola fide, transubstantiation, mandatory celibacy of priest & nuns, abolving of sins, ect are all against biblical teachings which are God checks & balances.

  • Good video. No hysteria.

  • @catholiccourage Vicar implies that the Pope takes the place of Christ this is not true as the Holy Ghost is Christ's Vicar on earth~not a man in a dress

The dream in Gen is where Joseph was 2nd to Pharaoh & was bowed down to ~ because he had a place of position & his position was not a religious one like the Pope

I will not do homage to a man who calls himself the HOLY FATHER (God's TITLE)

Neither would I kiss his king or feet or put him on a throne, Peter would not accept these things POPES DO

  • The Catholic Church are cowards...they never do nothing to defend them selves against criticism, almost like lambs to the slaughter................................wait a minute?

  • if the priests being ordained are Worshipping God ## then get the Pope out of the Way.

  • if Catholics worship the Pope, then Protestants Worship Luther
