When I saved my SHSH, I only got 3 blobs. Those are 4.3.3, 4.3.4 and 4.3.5. My version is 4.2.1, does this mean that I can't go back to 4.2.1 anymore if I want to downgrade? Thanks! Subscribed! :)

@myjailbreakmovies Sorry, I have a question. In the field "SAVED SHSHs...." I have no saved SHSHs at all, even after i saved them. Can you tell what's the problem? I hev iOS 5.0

How Do i Get The Green Written shsh when opening cydia i only have 4.3.3 & 4.3.5
So i wanna get 5.0 & 5.0.1 i have them on my pc but not in cydia ( green colour)

Good question. I believe you can save your blobs without jailbreaking, at least from Apple, but I think to/from Cydia as well. Can any of you guys confirm this? It's been a while since I've used an unjailbroken device :P

@GodSubscriber I actually did zoom in. That's as far as I could zoom, considering I want both items on the screen at the same time so you could see what's happening. You're going to need to use full screen mode. :-/

Maybe I missed it but what does saving the blobs do?

@truerider211 It allows you to downgrade your firmware in the future. Without these blobs, you can no longer downgrade after Apple stops signing older firmware. This usually happens in a short amount of time after new firmware is publicly released.
