Archos 404 review

oh yeah, why did u choose to go with an ipod classic instead of getting another archos?

It was smaller and had more space. And between the two I like the ipod classic more.

You can now pick up the Archos 5 for the same price as the 404 cam was, back in 2006.!!

This was a wonderful product but it was seriously flawed by a poor battery. The more you have this plugged into the docking station, the quicker it ruins the battery. If you are able to let the 404 run flat before recording anything via the docking station, then you will get a longer life from the battery. Alternatively buy a couple of spare batteries as back-up.

NO, the later Archos units have internet ability.

5th Generation: 605 & 705 models are Wi-Fi enabled. (NOT 405)

6th Gen: All models Wi-Fi, Argchos 5G can also has 3.5 HSDPA so takes a sim as well.

If you mean can the Archos 404 model acess the internet then the answer is NO.

The 604 Wifi was the only 4th Generation Archos which has that ability.
