We all admire Eval Kneival's talent & bravery... he was a hero !!!
But... how many of us would admire him if he'd faked it all with camera trickery?

(No... me neither)

He'll probably sack his video-editor after this

  • Wow, so much hatred of the maker of this video! Get a life the rest of you. We all know magic is "fake", and everyone tries to see how they did it. Well this guy sees how he did it, so get over it. It is edited video, not magic. Well done on the video shakeandvac. The other thing I noticed is that the chain on his leg was flying across the tracks when he jumped. If the train had really come at that moment it would have dragged him off the scaffold. No witnesses either. suck it.

  • @medmark77

    Thanks for the appreciation.

Has James Randi never condemned this clip? Using tv editing to fake bravery should surely be a target for his 'exposing fakes' quest.

When I get the time, I'll add a 'Parental Guidance Advisory Warning' to the start of this video.

When I first posted it, had no idea how upset the Lance Burton "Mouseketeers" would become, when their dreams of 'magic' being real, were shattered...

(so many tear-stained pillows... I feel real bad about that)

  • I agree this doesn't disprove it. I'm not saying it wasn't faked, but he's sitting at a completely different angle when this first points out that his shadow has moved, and depending how high the sun was above him and the bars of the scaffolding and tracks, it could easily be missed. Also if it's a camera-trick it's an incredibly impressive one for 1994 or whenever.

  • @charteredstreets Agreed. My assessment is that basically Lance recorded himself escaping without the train going (the shot where the train IS moving with him escaping in the foreground the train is on the lift hill, where it can easily be stopped before it drops down the hill) then a pro stuntman did the jumping off the tracks just in time shots, and then they cut it together in the editing room. Fairly simple and very safe.

  • of course its faked. you didnt a video to prove that. were supposed to beleive he only escaped the roller coater by less than a tenth of a second?

not his best trick. close up magic is the real thing

  • Goof Fuck! This is an illusion. No camera tricks like Criss Satan. He actually put his life on the lone for his art.

  • you do know that it's not there because he's leaning forward. Also just look at the shadow on the roller coaster tracks.....idiot

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Its obvious footage was not faked. A lot of people were there. A LOT.

  • His foot was actually inside the coaster if yoi pause. Poor editing and it was jsut to damn close
