SMBSS - Hooded Robin and His Mario Men

The Mario's and friends team up with a guy called Hooded Robin to take back the money that King Koopa had stolen from the people of Sharewood Village. On the way Robin gets kidnapped by Koopa and the Mario's and friends have to save him along the way.

No, you didn't imagine it. Sadly, the pop song & oldies that played over action scenes were dropped in syndicated repeats & the DVDs due to copyright issues :'(

@Sailortwilight I thought so, too, and you're not imagining it! :P I own this on VHS from way back when and used to laugh at how many mistakes it had, even as a kid. Lol.

Anyway, the same battle sequence at watch?v=Oa9D3v0UkVM DOES feature "Rockin' Robin." Maybe they replaced it with this generic blippy sounding music because of some copyright issue when it went to DVD (assuming it did).

I could have sworn when I originally watched this long ago that there was a version of "Rockin' Robin" played during one of the battle sequences... am I just imagining that or somethiing?

you'll notice that sometimes the charictors talk for other charictors. and i'm not talking about when hooded robbin mimicked Koopa.

@mebecj2 You missed one. When Hooded Robin shows where Koopa is going, it looks like a human's finger is on the map, if it was Robin was talking, shouldn't it should a wing instead of a hand? Seems like it should to me.

I'm so glad you posted this. Because I wanted to point out every time in this episode the lip syncing screwed up.

1:22 - His mouth isn't even moving, that's only the beginning though

3:45 - Watch this whole little speech. It should all be from Toad, but watch King Koopa

6:00 - Same-type situation as before

6:29 - That Koopa is Mario, apparently

6:49 - I guess this one could be explained away, but still

8:04 - You should be good at noticing these by now
