Spring turkey hunting from a Double Bull ground blind. Trent Miller used a Hoyt bow and arrowed a nice longbeard and made this one great turkey hunt. The adrenaline was pumping as these birds strutted and ran around in front of us all afternoon. The first two shots were pretty far but Trent made the shot when it counted with his last arrow.

  • Nice shot, what broadhead are you using?

  • Trent was using a NAP ScorpionXP broadhead on this hunt I think. I use Rage's when I'm deer hunting.

  • htf did I get here? I was just looking at Halo videos and now I'm watching some dude murder birds

  • i want some turkey now haha nice shot man

  • That turkey is big. He will cook up good.

  • @emaheu Bottom line is this. No matter how much money you toss at a bow and gear to go with it, it will not make you a better archer. Only practice will.

  • @emaheu You missed the whole point of my post. People sit here putting down a bow because THEY don't like it saying it sucks and is a horrible bow, but hey come buy the bow I have and you will be a perfect shot. WRONG. A perfect shot comes with practice, practice, practice. Not with how much money you can waste on a bow. A bow is a tool, that is all, the skill of shooting comes from the person. People need to stop putting so much dependency on bows and practice so they are good hunters.

  • @sotik, this seems like a well put together and ultimately successful hunt. No need to shit on someone for having a little bad luck. No need to brag about your "graeat aim". I'm not saying I dont believe you. Im glad you have good aim, that means less wounded game. I'm just saying dont boast about it, it makes you look ignorant.

  • @walkerdee Odd, I shoot hoyt and have yet to miss. Yet I have seen people miss with bowtech (my cousin has one) I guess it comes down to the fact I put in a full hour every single day, every week, every month, all year so I have great aim. The hunter makes the shot good, not the bow. You could make a stick and string bow and out shoot someone with a compound bow if you practice enough. Just sayin

  • congrats!

  • turkeys just looked like a target when they open their back feathers

  • Shoulda bought a bowtech! No excuse for misses then. Good video guys! Going turkey hunting in Montana this year for the first time ever. I am from Canada so its quite a production to get down there to hunt, but I am getting really excited.
