@2alive2die mmh, well for me it was also a matter of design.. and I think the samsung looks like a cheap iphone copy. dont want anything like this (dont want iphone either...).
both are awesome phones but the samsung is much cheaper and has everything i need. actually the only reason why i would keep the desire is the browser and the better availability of apps for android.
therefor the photo+video camera is much better on the samsung and the display is just wow.
it depends on what u need. thats the way u have to decide.
@2alive2die Samsung products suck. I've had them over the years and they always fail. Video shouldn't be the deciding factor, it's a phone first. I've had my Desire for a few months and it's the best phone I've had. The call quality is very clear, nice to hold and the UI is awesome.
damn i cant decide whether to buy the desire or the samsung s8500. the videoquality totally sux compared to the s8500 but the os is probably better on the desire. depends on whether the bada os will be supported as well as android. if thats the case i'm better off with the s8500. if not the desire might be the better choice.
Looks better than the 720p on the EVO 4G - But would look pixelated on a HD display
