The DVD features complete performances from both eras of the band, plus a documentary on the beginnings of the band and the making of Goddamnit.

I'm not gonna lie, I miss the old old Trio. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely Love Alk3, and nothing will ever change that, but when I see the footage where Matt gets up in a base-ball cap and soccer jersey, it makes me realize what punk really is (not saying the newer Trio isn't Punk...don't twist my words).

Viva la Trio.

Love Goddamnit. Favorite album I believe.

how i miss this alkaline sooo much

i will always love alkaline no matter what form they are in.

for they truly are the GREATEST.

but this alkaline is just dear to my heart.

Matt Skiba said that when he heard The Misfits - Walk Among Us he was like "Woah, this record was made for me. It's scary and offensive and catchy as hell!" And I think that's what he was trying to accomplish at first with Alkaline Trio but over time they lost the 'offensive' not as money cuss words or death wishes in their lyrics, but they are still dark and catchy <3

My life would be incomplete without this band!!

I think this addiction is more towards the pop punk sound they started with, it reminds me of Good Mourning but less gothic, I like it. It's no Goddamnit, but nothing ever will be

I wish I could agree. I don't think This Addiction is darker at all..I think its way too radio friendly and that's what is bothering me. Im trying to understand where this change is coming from, like what was the decision behind it. I dunno. I will always always always love them, continue to see them and support them, but I cant deny that This Addiction has me dissappointed:/

yeah, i kinda feel what you're saying, but this addiction is SO much better than agony and irony. i mean, face it. they're not the alcoholic 20 year olds they were... you can't bring back your youth. i just appreciate they had a great run for so long, and that this addiction has a darker less radio-friendly side to it. i dunno..
