Teh Dread Pirate Alexis and Sparky's adventures in making Blueberry Jam for omiyage!

Omiyage is traditionally given by Japanese people after they return from a trip. However it is an optional item to bring as a new incoming JET. You aren't required to give anything, but we wanted to.

This video is a bit longer, but it covers everything from "picking" the berries, all the way to cooling the finished jars of jam!

It's a great idea for omiyage - I just hope they aren't too heavy or break in your luggage. Nice thought!

They aren't too heavy, and we're only bringing a couple each. If we need more, my mom can ship them over.

And the jars are really strong! Plus they can have a big cushion of clothes.
