Well...who cares about Ari Vatanen... maybe everyone who understands about rallys know the guy... he is one of the best drivers ever! we won more than 500 stages...and you say who cares about him?! he has 10 wrc victorys...

And you talk about the escorts being replaced??? sure...did you want them to build it forever?? google a bit about the escorts, or try to have a conversation with some one that understands about rally without talking about escorts...

I remember seeing On WRC not long ago about the crashes and they mechanics explained that even tho after a crash they may look completely dead they usually arnt they can be stuck back together quite quickly and easily. duno whether it was the same back when this was filmed tho.

@Britpopliveforever Thing is no Fords were never rust proofed and they still aren't, I can put up with bad build quality such as big panel gaps, thin sheet metal and noisy road noise as I put with with the quality of Fiat Bravo's and Bravas for a long time with rattly steering but rust annoys me more then anything. A car with bodywork that doesn't last is as good as not having a car in my opinion. All Fords suffer from it and they are best avoided.

@1ns4ne1d10t ok bog standard escorts are crap thats something iam not goin 2 deny, (the reason why they replaced the escort with the focus was cus the later escorts were awful), the sporty 1s were always the best and the ones that people care (mexico, RS2000, RS1600, cosworth). My dad owned a XR3i and said it was a lovely car.
