The Curtis Family Cemetery is rumored to be "haunted". It is located at the end of Harrison street in North Topeka. Charles Curtis was vice-President under Hoover. He is not buried here. The haunted story is that a "Tuxedo man" appears near the tall oblisck gravestone, and other mysts and things have been seen there. If anyone else has any more info then that, feel free to leave it as a comment.

This story was sent to me by someone who viewed this video. I should mention that the story I got about "The Tuxedo Man" came to me from the ghost tour people. But the following little blurb was sent to me by a viewer:

"I can validate your report as to the tuxedo man next to the tall tombstone. I've seen it, though at the time, I was 14 then and I was walking through with some friends. Anyway, we all decided to play hide and seek and I was the first one to hide. So I hid behind that tombstone. After 15 minutes of what seemed like complete silence, I realized that they took off on me. Anyway this was about roughly 8:30 9:00 pm and as I was walking away from the tombstone, I felt a cool breeze which didnt seem like anything to worry about. But I turned around for some reason and I seen this figure of a man standing where I was hiding and then it vanished. I never went back to that place. It scared the shit out of me to be honest with you. Anyway, figured I'd share that with you."

Thanks for sharing that! I'd like to hear other peoples (personal) stories about these places.

  • Not to worry. The Tuxedo Man lives in my basement now.

  • I grew up a block away from Curtis cemetary. And i had a chilling experience there, on a date one summer night.

  • Cool video.

  • I think that you can go to:

/ghosttourtopeka on myspace. OR google "Ghost tours topeka" (I'd post the link, but youtube always messes them up)

  • Topeka Ghost Tours went to Topeka High? Did they go into the Basement or the Tower? I am currently a student there and would imagine those would be the two most spookest places. Also, where can i get more information about "Ghost Tour of Topeka?"

  • I went on this tour of North Topeka. The Ghost Tour of Topeka said that a ghost there attacks teenage boys. three boys have had experiences there during the tours. one boy had his ear yanked, another boy heard someone say wheres henry. the other kid just got really scared.

the other tour i went on had a ghost at the topeka high school. everyone should go on the ghost tours they are scary
