I simply cannot believe this does not have more views.

@ oneraggednoboby. Obviously you don't know all the artists he's played with and his solo career, except for maybe your Zappa reference bcuz you brought up Steve Vai. I don't see your videos anywhere let alone with any major artist. Who are you? Oh that's right, NOBODY. And that's my opinion, since we're all assholes. Hardly boring.
-
@crenshawjeffrey You are of course entitled to have that opinion, but I guess you do get my point...
In case you didn´t though: you say that it ´might do them a bit of good´ to get back to a basic kit and to me it is unclear why that would be the case.
Secondly, what makes you say that this huge kit is not an advancement? Can you play several octaves on a basic kit?
-
@senhorronable I think your metaphor is a bit broken, this huge kit is not an "upgrade" or an "advancement", it's just sort of masturbation at some point.
-
@crenshawjeffrey Because? You use smoke signals instead of your mobile every once in a while?
-
this video puts me in a trance!

@bobbystockerdrums Well said!!

How can I get this guy to come over and tune my drum kit?

I wonder how large that china just above his far right toms are. It looks even larger than my 27 inch china.
This is his small kit

@Lateralus03 don't look at Dr. Bozzio's technique. Listen to his playing. Ignore the time signatures and meters. He plays notes, like a pianist. a better example of that would be one of his other performances from this Concert, "Djon Don". You're trying to hard to compare him to drummers with great technical skill, don't. He's very technically sound, more so than Pert, or lang, or Mangini, but that isn't the point. Listen to the sound, and the notes he plays rather than examine his skill.
