Which of the dancers have been with the coop the longest? Any from the 1960s?

I think about 2 regular dancers and one person who visits when he is in town are from the 60's. I will ask around this Friday & find out who danced with us then and if they feel comfortable being mentioned on You Tube. Did you dance with us in the 60's? I think that must have been the Golden Age of Folk Dancing. I wish I had known about it then. Jan

I started dancing with the Long Beach Coop when I was 16, later moved to Mt. Wilson and came down once a week to dance with the Pasadena Coop. Danced also at the Hollywood playground. Produced a show on KPFK featuring Balkan dance music before moving north to the Bay area where there was dancing almost every night of the week.  No dancing where I live now, unfortunately, and I miss it terribly.

Where do U live now? How sad that there is no folk dancing. Perhaps someone reading this lives near you & would be interested in starting a group with U. You have so much experience. What interesting times U must have had living at Mt Wilson & dancing. When I ask members of our group, I would like to mention your name. Could you send me your name or the name you used in the 60's?
