櫻花戀 was originally the song "Sayonara" by Pat Kirby in 1957 for the movie "Sayonara" (櫻花戀) starring Marlon Brando, Miiko Taka and Miyoshi Umeki. The song was composed by Irving Berlin. The Mandarin version "櫻花戀" was recorded by 尤雅 in the 1976 album "午夜香吻/梭羅河畔".

尤雅 - 櫻花戀

Sayonara, Japanese Goodbye,
說聲 Sayonara, 大家莫傷悲,
再會吧,美麗的櫻花朵朵怒放,
再會吧,可愛的扶桑島風光,
Sayonara, Sayonara, Goodbye。

再會吧,美麗的櫻花朵朵怒放,
再會吧,可愛的扶桑島風光,
Sayonara, Sayonara, Goodbye。

  • SAYONARA is the Japanese word for goodbye.

  • I love this song ever since I first heard it when I was young!

This is the first time I heard it being sung in Chinese Mandarin, and you have done it so well! I know how to sing English, Malay and Hindustani songs, and because your words in this sond are so clear, I wish to be able to sing a proper Chinese song one-day!

Thank you very much my dear for up-loading this song!

  • good

  • @OKSteve Its Mandarin, Chinese.

  • Simply beautiful! I am familiar with the English version, but this is the first time I've heard it in Japanese and it's wonderful.
